Putting people & leadership at the heart of project delivery

At the heart of our approach is what we call the 5T’s Framework, which is designed to enhance success in five key areas of delivery: Target, Terrain, Tribe, Time and Thrive. Simply put, it delves deep into the “Why” and “How” of project management, as opposed to just the “What”.
Project management is all about making change happen. We only see the true benefit of that change when people begin to think and act differently, and when we see great leadership and people skills at work. Because ultimately, people are the real difference between a project (or even a business) succeeding or not.
Our tried and tested approach allows you to focus on teamwork, staff engagement and collaboration. It demonstrates how project success is a direct result of strong leadership, engaged teams, clear outcomes and a consistent focus on business and customer needs.
ExtraordinaryPM fully integrates with tools like PRINCE2 and Agile, but what we do is very different. Where they focus on the technical aspects of the job, we aim to bring the human element firmly to the fore, addressing leadership and people skills as key ingredients of the overall project management mix.
The Journey to extraordinary
At ExtraordinaryPM, we know that the best way to leverage skills and experience is by sharing our knowledge openly, allowing insights and expertise to multiply and ultimately benefit as many people in the profession as possible. To this end, we deliver a mixture of industry networking and speaking engagements, as well as regular webinars, articles and thought leadership pieces.
Our goal here is simple: to inspire and empower fellow project managers to excel in their careers, become respected leaders and ultimately take more pride (and pleasure) in their work!
Learning & Development

Central to our ethos is the provision of a number of learning and development options, equally suited to individuals or tailored for corporate clients.
From a one-hour Insights webinar through the Bitesize series of topics and themes, to the gold-plated, five-month Mastery Programme, we take you on a journey of personal development – challenging and encouraging you to grow, think and act differently. We’ll give you a safe space to experiment and stretch beyond your existing comfort zone, confident in the knowledge that we’ve always got your back.
Support Resources

We know just how busy and time-consuming project delivery can be, and we’ve curated a toolkit of essential resources – so you don’t have to. Drawing on our collective experience across multiple industries, our extensive library of supporting resources – a wealth of tools, plus techniques and materials that are engaging, effective and practical for use in the real world.
Our commitment to lifelong personal development means that we’re always open to improvement and willing to learn. This is reflected in ExtraordinaryPM: both the programme and resources remain under constant review, so we can incorporate new ideas and continue to become more diverse, accessible and inclusive.
Membership

We have an online membership space dedicated to our ExtraordinaryPM Tribe called the ExtraordinaryHub. This space can be accessed via an internet browser or a phone app.
This is available for all course participants and Mastery Alumni members., giving them exclusive access to more resources, articles, and hints and tips and where the course material and videos will be available for those taking our BiteSize and Mastery Programmes. It also provides a place where people in our ExtraordinaryPM Tribe can connect, communicate and support one another.
The 5T’s Framework
The 5T’s Framework is made up of five key interlinking areas: Target, Terrain, Tribe, Time and Thrive.
Each ‘T’ acts as a stand-alone ExtraordinaryPM module, but the true power of the framework lies in your ability to apply the tools to meet the needs of your situation; to see a project from all angles and to combine techniques in the best way to achieve your end goal. | View all >> Hide all >>
Target >>
We explore the mobilising power of the Target (‘Big Why’) for your project. With a clear Target in sight you can align and lead your Tribe more effectively. Your Target is your ‘North Star’ for decision-making and prioritisation and will guide you across the Terrain of your project.
Terrain >>
The Terrain is the landscape and business context of your project’s journey. We train our Extraordinary PMs to plan each project like a runner plans a marathon. We help you to consider where the tough, sticky or uphill stretches could be, what risks you might face, where you’re most likely to need refreshment or rejuvenation and how to deal with both expected and unexpected events that will crop up along the way.
Tribe >>
Your Tribe is much wider than your team. It is those people you need to build connections with around a shared goal, the Target, in order to get the best from the people around you – whether they’re taking action, controlling risks or delivering a physical product. We show you how to lead and influence, inspiring your colleagues, peers and stakeholders to step up and become more effective and engaged. Because building better collaboration is the best way to create real change and measurable impact.
Time >>
Time management is critical in project delivery. ExtraordinaryPMs focus on Mastering their Time and not just managing it, so that they get the very best from the precious and limited time available to them and their Tribe. We teach you how to be more productive and balance and prioritise your efforts in order to hit your Target within the time available to you and your Tribe.
Thrive >>
Taking care of yourself is crucial. It’s about making sure you Thrive in everything you do and that you’re at your very best, so you can lead your Tribe and succeed in delivering outstanding work without getting completely burned out. Thrive takes many forms; it might mean standing firm in your values, moderating your stress and stretch levels and managing stakeholders, or it could be about creating a healthy life-work balance and taking care of your personal goals, aspirations and self-fulfilment – at all times, but especially when the going gets tough.

Find Your Tribe
We provide a unique forum for programme participants in the form of a facilitated “safe space”, where delegates can grow, learn and feel supported in the process. Participants bring their own learning and experience to the mix, which then sparks the most amazing discussions, debates and ideas. In turn, this fosters an incredibly strong sense of community and creates a valuable Tribe for the participants to benefit from as the sessions progress.
